What's new for 2025 and the Nissan Frontier?

For the 2025 model year, the Nissan Frontier has received a light styling refresh that includes updated wheels for select trims with two-way power lumbar adjustments and towing capacity rises up to 7,150 pounds. This truck also has a revised grille and front bumper and a new exterior paint color, Afterburn Orange. Other changes for the 2025 model year include newly standard Android Auto™, a larger available 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, a new 360-degree exterior camera and a standard tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel. The six-foot long-bed option is now available for Monahans and Big Spring TX buyers on every model except the base S trim.

The engine and performance

The Nissan Frontier for both 2024 and 2025 is equipped with a naturally aspirated 3.8-liter V6 that generates 310 horsepower and 281 pound-feet of torque. It's mated with a nine-speed automatic transmission and your choice of rear- or four-wheel drive. The new Frontier can travel from zero to 60 mph in about 7.3 seconds and it offers a fuel efficiency rating of up to 24 MPG on the highway. The maximum towing capacity for 2025 is 7,150 pounds compared with 6,640 pounds for the 2024 model and the maximum payload is 1,610 pounds.

Interior highlights

For 2025, the Frontier has enhanced the interior design compared with the 2024 model. New interior features include soft-touch surfaces along with a gauge cluster that now offsets the analog gauges with a bigger 7.0-inch color display. The 2025 Nissan Frontier offers an available heated steering wheel, heated front seats and Nissan's exceptionally comfortable Zero Gravity™ seating system. Interior cubby storage includes a bin located on top of the dashboard and a place where San Angelo owners can store smaller cargo items under the back seat. The Frontier offers a short cargo bed that measures just under five feet and a longer bed that measures just over six feet.
